Rotorua Lakes Council’s Arts & Culture department are in search of a talented and enthusiastic Technical Design & Delivery Lead to join the newly established Performing Arts team, who will work from the new Sir Howard Morrison Performing Arts Centre in Rotorua, New Zealand. This role will lead the design, management and delivery of all technical services and event needs in SHMPAC and other venues. Together, the newly formed team will make Rotorua’s unique culture and identity more accessible through a distinctive and aspirational performing arts programme of events.

This newly created position is pivotal to the success of the performing arts in the Rotorua and the wider region, and is an exciting opportunity to be a part of history with the only 1,000 seat in the Bay, opening in February 2022.

We are looking for someone with experience in managing and delivering high quality, technical services and events. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and not be afraid to assist in ground level operations when required. The ability to deliver a high standard of customer service is essential as the vision moves to a customer focused model.
