We are in search of a friendly, high performing and enthusiastic customer service superstar to join our industrious Library Team at Te Aka Mauri. You will be passionate about supporting reading, our local community, library information and digital literacy skills.
Duties include assisting with public enquiries, reader advisory, shelving duties, digital inclusion support, supporting community hub activities, as well as supporting Out Reach services. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential, along with digital confidence and an ability to be patient and helpful with difficult enquiries and situations. This role is physically demanding as lifting and standing for lengthy periods is involved therefore, a good level of physical fitness is required.
The hours of work are 24 hours per week and as Rotorua Library/Te Aka Mauri operate seven days a week, weekend work will be required.
