Position Description

This role is responsible for the delivery of value added business advisory services to optimise the business performance of Council. Critical to the success in this role is the ability to identify, challenge and recommend actions to improve organisational performance and build strong and enduring relationships in the Finance & Business Performance team and across Council.

To be successful in this role, you will need strong commercial acumen and financial understanding, with a client focus, of commercial contracts, the financial implications and appropriate accounting treatment.  Proven experience developing business / financial models for a range of projects is a requirement of this role.

We are looking for someone with a proven ability to develop, lead and work as part of an effective team, excellent analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities and well-developed interpersonal and relationship engagement and management skills.

You will lead a team of dedicated Business Partners who work directly with the business, and add value by providing insightful financial analysis and are advisors on key financial decisions.
